Just wondering, I am allotted 1440 calories a day, do I need to eat the calories I earn back from working out or is it okay to eat just the calories I am allotted?

  • Many people don't eat back those calories for fast weight loss. I need to eat those calories to have energy to workout. I would see how you feel. The point of this is to never starve yourself. So workout, then see if you are still hungry. If you are, eat.

    I third it!

I don't usually eat back my calories. I probably will when I get to my goal weight :)

I eat back half or 2/3 and that seems to work for me. I always assume MFP and the machines overestimate calories burned (I want a HR monitor or a body bugg so bad!!), so I try really hard not to eat them all.

I third that. I have always eaten mine, but I'm always hungry!
