60-65lbs to lose - looking for friends

Well, I've been a member of MFP for a while but I haven't fully utilized it I think in some part just not used to calorie counting, and a lack of inspiration to lose weight. But, I'm sick of procrastinating and "I'll start tomorrow."
I was in the army until July 2011, and I was relatively in good shape up until my last unit of assignment. To get a better picture of what I'm talking about.. I was 140lbs in August 2010, and by June 2011 I was 172lbs. I worked for a deploying unit where I had little free time to work out as I was working 12 hours or more a day. I became accustomed to grab and go meals, it not even relying on fast food for a quick meal. My inactivity and bad food choices helped lead to my weight gain, as well as taking the BC shot which helped me gain 25lbs in a month! Well, this January I weighed at my highest of 197lbs. I was freaked out, but I guess it wasn't enough to motivate me. I have managed to lose about 20lbs this past summer until I became unmotivated, and stopped for the last two. I'm not floating around a 15lb loss.
There's a few reasons why I am motivated. For one, I know I can do it if I just stick with it. I was being too restrictive before, and I can get used to being inactive due to the fact I'm in college full-time and I have three blogs that I am continuously working on. So, I started working out again yesterday and eating within my calorie range. I'm not eating the best food, but I want to concentrate on just getting used to eating within my calorie range. Because one of my blogs is popular, I will be part of a blogger program where I can use one of the popular programs out there for free for 4 months. They will deliver me food and all I have to do is blog about it. This won't start until the end of November, so far now, I figure I should get ahead start!
My first goal is to reach 140lbs, and then my second goal is to reach 120lbs. I'm petite, and I haven't seen 120's since before I joined the army. But, I really want to lose this weight once and for all! I'm sick of feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. I'm sick of wearing pjs and baggy clothes all the time to "hide" myself. I miss feeling pretty and comfortable with myself. I never thought I'd feel this way in my life, but it's time to get going. I'm on day two and I'd really like some motivating MFP friends!

Me and my wife both recently started using MFP. I started out at 300 lbs, am a former marine, and have a 2 year old daughter. I have currently lost 9 lbs. My wife is attempting to gain weight. She hasn't weighed in again yet, but started at 84. My biggest motivation is the support I receive from her and I had not had that since I got out of the service. I really believe having support is the biggest influence on how well you do (other than your calorie intake lol).
It is just me and my wife right now, but am hoping to have a large support to discuss things that are working for each other and not working. You can add me and my wife if you like.
Hope to hear from you and wish you the best of luck.0 -
