Well I was doing good a few months ago. I lost 35 lbs in just a few months. Then I quit eating right and stopped exercising. So I gained 15 lbs back. I am so disgusted with myself, I just don't know what to do or where to start. I am so addicted to sweets. I just can't kick the chocolate, and to be honest, it's easier to eat everything unhealthy and eat what I want. I just can't seem to get back into the swing of things. I have chocolate in my face all day long and snacks of all kinds. I think about food all the time. I eat late. I do everything wrong. Where do I start? I have to do this, I want to lose the weight!!!!

1st of all take one day at a time ...... 2nd set mini goals and when you reach them reward your self but not with food ......log your food in (every morsel) for a couple of days and then add exercise back into it ... YOU CAN DO IT ... good luck0

You sound like you already know what to do The things that you listed that you "do wrong"... just replace those with the "right" things... I know it sounds easier than it is... but if it helps take one or two per week and change the negative out with some positive... Just take that first step.. and your journey has begun... Then the next step will be a little easier... PLUS you have MFP which is full of motivation and encouragement! Just decide to do it and do it!!! You deserve it!! :drinker:0

I know how you feel about the sweets, I had some graham honey crackers today ,( the first sweets since I started this a week ago), I all of a sudden relized I was craving more. I wanted to go back and grab a handfull and stuff it in my mouth. I was amazed....amazed that I had a craving for something like that. Before I started this I ate what I want when I wanted. I hadn't craved anything before. It was a warning for me to myself, don't even put one in your mouth. The craving was overwhelming...I got through it. But it kind of scared me. Strange how something like today and my honey crackers changed the way I think about my "precious" sweets.
I talked to a fitness expert and she said, sugar is a drug, you have a little and all of a sudden you come down off of it and immediatly you want more. It truly is.
Congratulations on coming back on board. This is a wonderful site so far. It takes us to lose the weight and no one else can do it for us. :happy:0 -

Thats so true, I'm currently addicted to the 3 musketeers Truffle Crisps, They are awesome and i'm ok until I eat one then 3 more later I hate myself for eating them. I just have to stay away, and I need more water I think, I drink way to much pop.0 -
Two things I do to help me not binge on sweets:
1. To curb a chocolate craving, I will eat a double chocolate special K protein bar (along with one regular 99% fat free yoplait) for lunch. It actually works because it feels like you're eating an entire candy bar. The yogurt is to get at least some dairy in that meal... lol!
2. I allow myself one meal a week to cheat. It's my reward for sticking it out all week long with all the healthy stuff. Sunday's are my "cheat" days. I had a HUGE german pancake today... ate 3/4 of it... lol! Rest of my meals... weren't so bad. I totaled everything in. I was only 300+ calories over. Not worried though because I get to work out tomorrow. :happy:0 -
And definitely lose the pop. I don't even drink it anymore. Not even diet. Drink your full amount of water for the day. It'll help keep the water weight off, and also... if you're feeling hungry and have no more calories to spare... fills you up with you chug it... lol!0
