Anyone using Polar Wearlink with Nike+ and the watch?

Hi guys,
I'm getting confused with the Polar Wearlink transmitter and what it's compatible with.
Long story short, I have a Polar RS200 watch that my mom gave me, and I need to get the Wearlink. I'd rather buy one that's compatible with Nike+ because I use the Fitness app on my iPod when running, plus uploading runs on the nike+ website is pretty nifty.
When I went to the shop, the guy said the Polar Wearlink for Nike+ can only be used with Nike+, but I'm pretty sure it can be used with a Polar watch too.

I don't want to buy it without knowing for sure, so if anyone is using the Polar Wearlink compatible with Nike+, can you tell me the model name and if it's compatible with a Polar watch?

I haven't tried my Nike+ transponder with my old Polar watch. Hmm....I'll have to try it. I think mine is too old for it to work, though.
