5K Mud Run Best Time

Hey everyone! I'm feeling amazingly proud of myself this week. I ran my 2nd 5K for the year on Sunday. Its an obstacle filled Mud Run in NY and I accomplished two feats. One, I was able to run the whole way through, no walking. Two, I beat my best time by a little over 3 minutes. Here is a link where I recorded the whole run. Its roughly edited to make it all fit on YouTube.

Congrats! I just started running 5k's in August. I love running 5k's because they all benefit some sort of organization and the atmosphere is so much fun! I have ran 6 of them so far. Each time I set a goal time right before the race, and every time I have hit it.

I just registered to do a 5k mud run on 10/27. I'm really excited but also kind of nervous because the 2 guys on my team are extraordinarily fit. I'm afraid my 11 minute miles will slow them down!

    Keep up the good work!

Orchard Beach. It was an amazing day to run. Weather was perfect, the park was gorgeous.

You can do it! I haven't run a normal 5K yet. I'm addicted to Mud Runs right now. Love the obstacles.

not sure where orchard beach is, so it can't be too close to here. does anyone walk? i am intrigued by the obstacle part of it, but due to way too many knee surgeries, i can't run.

Its in/by the Bronx. Plenty of people walk. I don't treat it like a race, I just do it to support the troops.

It was a GoPro Camera with a head strap. They're amazing little cameras.
