I like it.
The worst thing about it is also the best thing about it. That is that there is no guesswork. You follow the workouts and diet and you will get great results. Personally, I can be obsessive and this works for me and once I get a few weeks into the program my motivation levels go up exponentially because I've already put so much work into it I don't want to stop. That also is the worse thing because its a huge time and energy commitment (working out 1-1.5 hours a day and buying/cooking/eating a lot of food) so there are daily opportunities to fall off the wagon and for me if I fall off even a little bit it destroys my motivation.
I've had P90X 3 years. 3 years ago I did it for the first time and made it 71 days until I aggravated a preexisting sports injury. Since then I've tried to start it again 2 or 3 times with at least two of them fairly serious attempts on day 1. Both of those restarts never made it past week 2.
Today is day 24 of week 4 for me since I made a serious effort to start it again on 9/10/12. Having done MFP and slowly worked my way into being more active and food conscious for 3 months before that REALLY helped. I had already lost 21 lbs and was getting a lot of motivation from that success.
So far I'm super excited on this round of P90X and can't wait to see how day 30 results stack up which is coming up soon! For me my goals aren't really weight loss but core strength and body fat loss.0 -
<--- Yeah, I like it!
The_Dude has it right, it takes the guesswork out of your routine. You get out of it what you put into it... it is that simple! Press play everyday and BRING IT and the magic will happen. It has transformed many bodies and is helping me develop mine.
Good luck and I will be happy to support you!0 -
I will have to disagree with Pedal Pusher and say that P90X is pretty special IMO.
Thanks to P90x I look the way I do today. I would say P90X contributed about 90% towards it. I did 2 rounds and today I go to the gym but in my book P90X is still the best program out there. Of course I am bias because I lost about 35 pounds of the 40 with it.0
