Lets turn that cabbage into cole slaw

Hello hello...I'm fairly new to this site, and I'm looking for a little motivation. I was an athlete my whole life, so keeping my weight under control wasn't a problem for most of my life. Now that I'm in my early 30's, that's not the case. I sit at a desk all day, and I'm a few years removed from a pretty major knee surgery. Both of those factors have lead to me packing on a little more poundage than I'd like. I'm 6'5" and 300 lbs...I'd like to get to around 250. I'm trying to find a workout program that doesn't bore me to tears. I'm also starting to curb my eating/drinking habits. Feel free to add me...I can use all the help I can get.
