food allergies.. help with recipes

Hey Pals,
I need some help finding things to eat on a restricted diet..

Backstory : stomach pain, nausea, bowel problems for 5 years, Drs havnt found anything wrong with me, and out of despiration I'm trying to cut out big parts of the foodgroups I eat in an attempt to find a food allergy/sensitivity.

The only problem is i dont know what to eat now with a restricted menu.. and I'm finding it hard to eat 1200 cals, which isnt good. i can't eat: gluten, lactose, red meat, pork or seafood, no processed meat, no legumes, dairy, corn or corn products, no acidic fruits or veg, no coffee, but i CAN eat rice, veggies, poultry, eggs, soy, . im trying this for 2 weeks, see if it helps.

If anyone has experience with restricted diets and can help me find some nutritious things to eat, that would be great! Thanks.

  • You might need to see a dietician to get more resouces for the foods you can have. I can not imagine trying to feed myself based on this list of food :( Sorry I hope you get the help though! Keep us posted!
  • I am allergic to wheat, eggs, and milk, so I know what it's like to have restrictions. It's especially hard when so many "healthy foods" are off limits. A few things that came to mind for you to get you to 1200 cal. were
    tree nuts
    fruit
    spaghetti squash as pasta substitute
    rice pasta
    rice thins (crispy crackers)
oatmeal, gluten free oat cereal bars, cookies, etc.
    Gluten free waffles
cereal (rice chex, rice crispies, and lots of gluten free cereals out there also) with vanilla soy milk (in my opinion)

Check the natural foods section of your grocery. You'll pay more, but you'll feel better!!! There's so much more out there now than there was even five years ago.
    Good luck!

Try looking at types of cuisine. You can eat Japanese food!
  • I am gluten/dairy/pork /peanut free, also sensitive to soy. I have TONS of good recipes! let me know what you are looking for exactly.

I'm surprised that they let you have soy. Luckily, my food intolerance cleared right up when I eliminated gluten and lactose. I then reintroduced gluten with no symptoms, reintroduced lactose and got tummy aches. Problem solved :)

With what you're allowed, a fritatta seems like a great go-to for you.

    Best wishes!
