Low cal Ice Cream Treat!

Options
My boyfriend and I went apple picking specifically to use fresh apples with this recipe! I made a few changes (frozen yogurt instead of ice cream, Hershey's caramel syrup instead of Sander's) but it was still incredible.

Hollow out an apple, leaving the sides relatively thin. Sprinkle ground cinnamon and sugar inside the apple, place on a baking sheet (I lined mine with foil and used cooking spray..not sure if it's necessary though) and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350F. (Bonus: your house will smell incredibly delicious!) Scoop your ice cream inside the apple and top with Caramel. Enjoy!

I used:

1 medium red apple
1/2 C Meijer's Low Fat Frozen Yogurt - Vanilla
1 T Hershey's Caramel Ice Cream Topping (This one had the least amount of fat...zero!)
Enough cinnamon and sugar to coat the inside of the apple

** It's higher in carbs that I'd usually have for a snack, but I stayed low-carb the rest of the day. **

I also saw a recipe for a hollowed out granny smith apple filled with watermelon sorbet. Yum!
