So I joined the swim team! :D They practice from 6:15-800AM Mon-Fri. I plan on maintaining my StrongLifts regime, but has anyone actually had results from swimming?

Most of my weight loss came from running and biking but I started swimming last month literally for the first time in my life and I have never done anything physically more challenging. Done well it is a full body workout and cardio on steroids.

Swimming burns a lot of calories when you're doing swim team swimming. You will probably hit a wall sooner on your SL5x5. Just be conscious of that and deload/reset appropriately.

Awesome possum (: Uhm. What is deloading and resetting? Just lowering the weight and working your way back up?

Basically, yes. SL5x5 has you ramp up until you fail a set, try again, maybe one more time, then drop 10 lbs or whatever and resume your ramp up. Swimming will slow your ability to recover from your weight training sessions, so you will not accumulate strength as quickly. I swam in HS and I couldn't put on weight despite averaging 8000 Calories a day. I was completely shredded, though. With your goal of losing 58 more lbs, this should be a great way to achieve it.
