splurge day?

Has anyone had any luck with having one splurge day a week? I have heard of "banking" 100 calories a day then using them on one day of the weekend and still maintain weight and still feel fine. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

I do that on special occasions but certainly not every week!0

I let myself eat a little bit crazier on the weekends, but I still keep a deficit. Instead of my normal 1500 calories, I'll eat closer to 1900. My deficit then is normally only 400 calories instead of 800. My workouts also tend to be longer on the weekends.0

My husband and I have one indulgence meal a week. Has worked for us so far. He's lost 104 and I've lost 89.0

I don't bank extra calories but you could. I have tried calorie cycling but got lazy and quit doing it. If you want to try it go to http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm and see what you come up with. If you know your body fat percentage click on "advanced options" and enter that as well as the other info they ask for!
Sunday is just a straight up "cheat" or "splurge' day, but I choose to call it a "chill-out" day--I don't eat like crazy but I have what I want in moderation.0 -
Cheat MEAL, not day. Its actually quite effective.0

I will definitely try to make mine a cheat meal instead of a day. Just hope it doesn't lead to a whole day binge! If it does I won't try it again,lol!0
