Curvessmart calorie burn estimate

OK, so I go to Curves 3-4 times a week, alternating with a brisk 45-60 minute walk on the other days. I recently got a Curvessmart tag and it is estimating my calorie burn at anywhere between 311-450 cals/half hour. I tend to just put a flat 300 on MFP because I don't trust it!
I know with the tag, I am working harder than before, and I am losing weight, inches and body fat - but I am curious how accurate the tag is.
(Background: I am 44 years old, 5'9", 163 pounds, body fat 25 % - target weight 150-155 and I want to tone up. I work from home as a freelance copywriter but also chase around young children, so have my fitness set at "lightly active" - maybe I should put it at "moderately active" and forget about logging exercise cals?)
Advice please...

I go to curves as well, and I do not trust the calories burned _AT ALL_
In the last few months I've had a few times where I felt dizzy and nauseous half way through so I had to stop after 15-20 minutes. However, the calorie burn still came in to about the same number as if I had done the entire thing. Also, the heart rate monitor is almost always wrong at the place I go to, so I wear my own hrm. The number they get should have an effect on the calorie burned estimate but I'm not sure if it does. If it does, it'll be wrong at the place I go to.
I can't find the research at the moment but when I joined I found something which says that on average you will burn about 200 calories per session. Perhaps you're doing more than the average, but I doubt anything about 300 kcals.0 -
The Livestrong site has some great information about calculating calories burned. I am not sure if they have Curves posted there but they do have a formula for quite a few things, you may want to try looking there. Hope this helps. Have a good day :-)0

Thanks for the responses. I know I work harder at Curves since getting the Curvessmart tag thing, but maybe not that hard Perhaps I will set my activity level to moderate and not worry about exercise cals unless I do something extraordinary.
Edit: found this on LIvestrong http://www.livestrong.com/article/362035-how-to-burn-500-calories-doing-the-curves-workout/
I do a lot of this already (harder on machines than recovery, don;lt socialise, alternate activities on recovery station etc) so maybe it's not impossible.0
