UK and peanut butter...??

i love my peanut butter..it is almost a staple food for me...but i have found throughout my years of meeting ppl on the internet, that not many in the UK eat peanut butter.. please explain..just curious...

disclaimer......i am not saying ALL of UK dont eat peanut butter..but most i have talked to from there say they do not..
