I don't mean when you're throwing up, but when you have a head cold and your body is feeling weak. Do you eat more or less?
I'm feeling like this today and just want to comfort eat I haven't, but I want to and the water is making me feel chilly.

I've always been told; Feed a cold, starve a flu.
Just try and eat as much as you feel like to give energy to fight off the cold.
Feel better soon0 -
i dont eat when i dont feel good.
mainly cause when i get sick,witch isnt often,I GET SICKK BAD!0 -
I try to treat myself a little bit, but also stay within my calories. I tend to skip heavy exercise, but a gentle walk might actually help if the weather allows it.
Try making a big pot of chicken soup for warmth and comfort, drink herbal tea instead of cold water, or make a low calorie hot chocolate (Options makes a 40 calorie one). Freshly squeezed orange juice is a good source of vitamin C.
Just give yourself some TLC, plenty of rest and fluids and you should feel better soon.0 -
Fresh air (leave a window open if you're too sick to go for a walk).
Warm clothes.
I eat as much as usual, but different things:
Lots of water and herbal/green tea.
Vegetable stock or, if my stomach can bare it, some chicken noodle soup.
Whole wheat marie biscuits.
If I can handle it, also some fruit in a smoothie.0 -

This and if you do need more comfort food stick to jacket potatoes and the like which will be gentle on the waistline and keep your cravings at bay. If you do go over your cals for a couple of days don't worry about it - just get back on track once you are feeling a bit better.

I carry on eating as I've done for the last year or so.
Other than that, I whine, whinge, moan, get ratty, and generally become incredibly unpleasant to be around until I'm well again. It saves anyone else catching what I've got.0 -
Thanks for the reply guys.
I've been ok in curbing the urge, I just need to go home to bed!

You should fuel your body regardless of cold/flu/fever/etc. You will obviously need to eat what you can stomach, but don't abstain from food/liquids.0
