After dinner grazing ideas

Hi all,
I am finding I eat very well during the day and feel full, strong and in control. But after dinner, it's like my mind goese on auto pilot and I want to snack on anything. It's not that I am hungry, it's almost like dinner didn't satisfy me and now that the day is slowing down I want to sit and snack. Maybe it's not having a cigarette after dinner anymore (been quit for 6 months), I don't know.
Does anyone have any ideas of how to stop this? I've thought about brushing my teeth right after dinner, having gum or just resisting but I have not been very successful.
Thanks!

I have the same issues. It has been suggested to me to eat some plain popcorn or a piece of fruit.0
