I've seen a ton of posts on the boards today about the news anchor who got the nasty email about being overweight.

What surprised me the most was all people who commented and said. "So what if people told her she was fat. It's true! It's not out of line to tell her"...

Really people? So would it be ok to tell someone that they weren't very attractive. Weren't that sharpest tool in the shed, At your friend's wedding that you can't see her husband being faithful to her after 10 years, etc... I mean... It's true right? They shouldn't get their panties in a wad if you tell them.

Whether or not you think that Obesity is a choice... Whether or not you agree with the Anchor woman's point of view.

It seems like being fat is the only thing that people seem to think is ok to point out because "It's True"

Believe me... Fat people KNOW that they are fat... You don't need to tell them... Saying something offensive to someone... is still offensive... even if it is true...
