Working out when you're sick

Do you do it? I honestly feel like crap, but I've been sick off and on for the past 2 weeks (first a kidney infection and now I think I have the flu). I've been told to take it easy, but I also don't want to lose momentum (I already feel like I've lost some of my momentum).

It depends on how sick you are. With either infection or flu - basiclally anything where you're running a fever - you really need to rest, eat well and hydrate and let your body use what energy it has to fight off the bugs. The other typical guide is below or above the next. With a head cold (no fever, body aches etc), you're usually ok to workout but might want to scale back the activity. Generally it's recommended not to workout with a chest cold. If you're that sick, your body's already working hard enough as it is and doesn't need the extra stress.0

Working out when you are sick is so not worth it. Keep up with clean eating and track your food. You will make more head-way doing this than not giving your body time to rest. Part of being healthy is listening to your body. Hope you feel better soon!0
