Keeping Protein Levels Healthy

Question: How do you keep you protein levels from surpassing the myfitnesspal recommendations? I keep going over and it's driving me nuts! Yesterday I was 43 [grams?] over my protein levels. Today, I have about 300 calories left but only 2 grams left in protein.

Any tips?

(By the way I am a college student, if it helps with perspective. I have been trying to decrease my meat intake since it was largely influencing the high protein levels. I also used to be a vegetarian for two years, so I have a hard time picking either beans/tofu or chicken.)

    I would either:

    a) Keep exceeding MFP's rather low recommendations.
    or
    b) change your settings to increase protein target manually. I would generally do this at the expense of carbohydrate given MFP's rather crappy default macros.

I am a small females and I eat between 100-150g of protein a day. Don't worry about it. MFP has a very low setting for protein.
