To do or not to do? The 5 calories I chew a piece seem kinda trivial, but I wanted someone else's opinion.

    It's up to you.....more trouble than it's worth in my opinion. But then I almost never chew gum.

    Personally I wouldn't count it, but I don't know, if you feel like you should count it then go ahead and do it. I doubt going over 5 calories/ day would mess with your goal. Even if you had 3 pieces of gum throughout the day, that's only 15 calories. Maybe someone will give you a better answer, I clicked on here because you spell your name the same as me :)

    If you are having one stick per day, I wouldn't bother.
    My coworker goes through a big pack in a few hours; I might log it if your consumption is more like that, as eventually it adds up.

    It's a rare occurance! But yeah, you're right, Today I chewed five sticks, I think all the typing into my computer will burn more calories than that..

    nah, i dont bother adding little things like that.

    i can hear the argument that everything adds up, but i know that in my diet there are few little add-ons like this, so in my case it all adds up to not much.

    if you're finding yourself saying 'nah, its only a few calories, i won't add it' a lot, it might be time to reassess though.

    just chew it extra hard and the jaw workout will even it out :)

    Only if i chew several packs. Since that never happens I don't worry about it.
