Strange Motivation?

I've started taking the stairs at work every night. Every night I get winded and wait outside the stairwell door until I catch my breath in case somebody is out there. So I started wondering... When will I be able to do this and still talk when I get to the top? This is my new motivation to keep working out. Anybody else have something "odd" that they are striving for?

I have to scrub in for hours at a time for my job and I want to stop sweating so much! It's so embarrassing when I break scrub and there are sweat marks on my back.

I strive to have a closet full of clothes that don't fit because they're TOO big. Everytime I find a new pair of pants that fit fine a few weeks ago and are now just falling off I get incredibly excited. I like to fill up garbage bags full of clothes that are too big to give away to goodwill. I recently gave away a pair of my favourite jeans that were a size 16 and it felt exhilirating to do so.

So, I'm not so sure how strange it is but it's something I look forward to doing every couple of weeks.

    That's a terrific motivator! Congrats!

My motivation is a pair of jeans I wore about 4 years ago. I only wore them two times, but I'm going to get in them again. And! I just bought my bathing suite for the summer. It's early I know, but I fear when I do finally hit my goal in several months that it won't be there. Plus I bought it - I better be in it! LOL!

It seems like a hundred years ago - but I recall going out with my friends and being able to stay on the dance floor almost the entire time - Now if I go out with friends it is 'very' limited. I'm striving for the time to be able to keep dancing without feeling like I just ran a marathon after dancing to one song.

I want to wear a pretty white sundress. Since I've gotten so big, I don't wear dresses, I don't wear white, and I've been way too covered up in the summer. To me, the ultimate expression of my newfound freedom would be to put on a pretty white flowy sundress with some flip flops, my hair up in a ponytail, a cute pair of sunglasses. It's a sweet thought. :)

Losing the weight really is about gaining freedom.
