Suitable HRM for a fat guy

Options
Hi,

I'm looking to take the plunge and possibly splash out on a HRM. One of the things holding me back is price (but i can save up for it) the second is I'm not confident that the chest strap will be big enough, are they big enough for a 52" chest?

Also does chest hair affect the conductivity?

Many Thanks

Chris - an HRM newbie :embarassed:

you should be OK dude, my Polar and garmin straps had plenty of stretch left after going round me at 48"

chest hair was no issue, just make sure it's damp when you put it on

Got this for hubby who has a large chest. You can choose what size strap you need. He loves it and has no problems with it.

I have this model & love it. The watch is a little on the smaller side, but I actually prefer that on my lift and cardio days as it doesn't seem to interfere with the equipment or get in the way like some bulkier watch might.
Also, the way the strap on this one works is a hook that goes thru a loop. You could easily have a cloth adapter made to fasten between the two, but I’m pretty sure they likely make a size that will fit you. I got mine for a pretty decent price on Amazon.

Just noticed that you are from UK. I have this one from lloyds pharmacy. Suits the budget and nice HRM. I am using it since last 6 months or so.

think I bought it for around £13, they have upped the price now.
