I turned 40 this year. I joined a gym 2 months ago having never worked out before. At the same time I joined here and started tracking my food, something else I had never done before. What an eye opening experience that was. I've lost 23lbs and 5 inches around the middle. I can now bend over and touch the floor while continuing to breathe. Bending to tie my shoes used to require holding my breath. I'm no longer winded walking a flight of stairs. I no longer wear a shirt swimming. Not that I've got anything to show off but I'm no longer embarrassed by how I look without a shirt. I've got a ways to go yet but I'm feeling better than I have for longer than I can remember. The information, advice and inspiration I've gotten from this site has helped a lot.
