Hi everyone, My name is Patrick, and I just wanted to let everyone know that logging my calories on a daily basis is helping me lose weight. In the past I would do plenty of exercise and I would eat the right things. But I wasn’t losing the weight! My problem has been with portion control. As I started logging my meals in MFP, I was horrified to see that I was eating way too many portions. As I started to enter my food into the database, I learned how to count servings. Then -with the calorie counter as a ‘budget’- I started to finally lose the weight. I have set a goal to lose 1 pound per week and I am on target. In the past 4 months, I have lost 18 pounds and I continue to add my food and exercise tasks on a daily basis.
