Every other Friday at my school, the seniors get to go off campus for lunch.
I don't feel like driving to the other side of town, but there are a lot of restaurants near my school. I prefer going to a fast food place, since I can actually track the food since most of those places have nutritional info online/in restaurant.
I need help choosing where to go. Last time, I went to Zaxby's & had the blackened salad. It was okay (super expensive!), but was about 700 calories and didn't keep me full very long. I'd rather eat 700 calories of something that will.
Here are the restaurants:
KFC
Subway
Wendy's
Waffle House
McDonald's
Zaxby's
Dairy Queen
Domino's

What healthy alternatives are there at these restaurants?

McDonalds and Subway have the lowest calorie option. I would pack my lunch personally but that might not be an option for you. The McDonald's double cheeseburger mini meal with a diet coke is good (albeit high in sodium).

Pack a picnic from home and invite friends to go with you. Cheap, fun and healthy and you still get to leave the campus.

I like Wendy's small chili and side salad without dressing and croutons and I add the chili to salad and mix it all up and add their salsa packet. It's really good. Or chili and baked potato :)

You said waffle house...I stopped reading there.....now I'm really hungry. Double Scatterd Smothered Covered Chunked is calling my name.

I think its like 487 calories and filling.
