Dog crap

Yesterday, while riding my bike on my local bike trail, I ran over a big dried out dog turd, and that threw my bike off balance. (That must've been a huge dog!) :noway:
One day when I ran, I counted 28 piles in only a 2 mile stretch! Can you believe how rude these people are? We actually have a few families in town who walk their dogs on the school playground, and you guessed it. The kids playing football on the grounds occasionally go to the nurse with dog **** all over their clothes.
I'm just curious to hear from others about their experiences and feelings about this issue!

It's actually a public health hazard since basically ALL puppies have roundworms, and people can get them from dog poop. If I saw so much dog crap on my route, I'd probably call someone in my town and ask about it. Apparently nobody picks it up because nobody else picks it up. That can be changed.0

My dogs crap in my yard. One of my sons chores is to scoop poop.
It's actually a law here that you have to clean up after your dog when walking them.0 -
We have poop & scoop bylaws here that are, by & large, observed but there's always some bozo who thinks their dog's *kitten* don't stink (and yes, we patrol the soccer pitch before games and practices - it's not unusual to find a few landmines)
I also have an issue with cat owners who let their furry little crap machines wander the neighbourhood using every possible garden as a litterbox (these are the same people who would toss a fit if you dog so much as peed on their lawn.......)0 -
I live right behing a park, and off of a bike trail. I'm always seeing doggies being walked, but I rarely see dog poo just lying around. I would complain to your city hall, or county. Maybe then can put up the little poo bag and trash can stations, that way it'll remind people to pick it up!0

I hate when people don't clean up after their dogs, because then people complain (and rightfully so!) about all the dog s**t and then dogs are banned from most common areas in town and people like me who DO clean up after their dog have less and less places to walk or run them...!0

I stepped in a big pile with my brand new Brooks the other day
There is a trail I run that I occasionally see a few piles, but it is not bad. Most people do pick it up.0
