Stress Heart Rate / Calorie burn

I wore my heart monitor to work so I wouldn't keep forgetting to put it on when I walk at lunch. I just noticed that every time I hear my manager's voice my heart rate jumps up to 60-70% of my max. My manager is a difficult person. Does a person burn any fat from stress heart rate changes? I was looking for a sliver lining...

I dunno, but that's kinda funny. I'm sorry he causes you so much stress, but it gave me my giggle for the day.0

I'm sorry to say, I don't think you burn any calories because your metabolism hasn't increased, just your heart rate, although...from a silver lining perspective it is working your heart. Although, if it goes up quite often during the day, you might want to try some deep breathing and relaxation exercises to protect from stress related illness.0
