New to this, I think I need some help to get started

I've read various websites and articles but I'm still a bit confused.
I'm currently around 108Kg, I have set a goal of getting to 70Kg but I'll be happy as long as I look and feel a lot more healthy than I do now. I don't have a particular time goal, but I have severe confidence issues that have stopped me working, or even living really since I left school. I'm not saying that losing a load of wait will instantly make the most confident person alive, but I know it won't hurt. So basically I want to lose the weight as quickly as I healthily can.
My BMR is around 1850-2000Cal, and through the walking I've started doing each day I'm using around 500Cal (3-5 miles a day, moderate pace, 3mph, some uphill)
Am I right in thinking that if I want to lose weight I should be eating around 2200 Cal a day? That seems very high to me. I've had a small appetite for a while now, and while I don't eat the healthiest of foods (occasional pizza, pie etc) I'm pretty sure I don't eat over 2000 Cal most days. Yesterday I was 1376Cal, Wed 1761 and Tues 1097. Having put my food in for today I'm at 1446. That includes a curry from the local pub (Today is my "cheat day", first bit of advice I was given. Have a day where I could not go crazy but certainly eat something not overly healthy). The diary is giving me a daily goal of 2280 for today (after exercise)
Basically I'm having trouble upping my calories without just eating the food that's bad for me. It seems to get up to 2000Cal with healthy food means eating SO much. I don't even know where to start.

well done with the exercize. i find that the mfp app overstates the calories burned so i use 'accupedo' app to log walking calories burned and transfer this into my fitness pal. as long as your 1200cal minimum its ok. maybe ask a dietitian---theres one on mfp. if u put ur diary on public others may be able to help better.0

Good luck! If you are really having a hard time upping your calories, you might try a protein shake. I make one for breakfast and it adds almost 500 calories. I find them easier to get down. On the other hand, dh gets so full with shakes.

Thanks. I use Runtastic to keep track of calories while walking. It's still probably saying I've burned more than I have though, I do get my heart rate up a bit (especially on the hills) and break a sweat but I wouldn't exactly call it strenuous. My feet get worn out before I do, I'd walk all day if it weren't for the blisters and pain. (Which I'm hoping will get better as time goes on, this is only the first week I've started. 15 miles over 4 days)
So as long as I'm over 1200 net calories (i.e. I eat 1200 plus eat whatever I burn off from the walking) I should be on track?
I don't think I'd have a problem getting up to say 1500-1600 a day, especially if I tried something like protein shakes. But the daily goal of 2200ish that MFP gives me seems like a huge amount.
I guess I just need to try either the shakes or find some other high calorie but healthy foods to snack on between main meals.0
