I find that I did best when I had eaten a few hours before. So I guess I would go in between. But I'm also one of those people that is randomly prone to getting nauseous during some workouts - not all, not only when I work hard, just randomly from what I can tell. So I don't dare do it on a completely empty stomach, and I can't do it when I've just eaten.

I've done 30 day shred on an empty stomach but the other two are more intense and longer.
For banish fat boost metabolism - couple hours prior due to the high intensity cardio
No more trouble zones 30-60mins prior would be safe

I do 30ds when I get home from work, so it's in between lunch and dinner. Honestly, I think it's just a matter of personal preference. Some people get sick if they workout on a full stomach, and some people get dizzy if they work out on an empty stomach. so it just depends on what's right for the person.

    It doesn't matter.

Some people get sick to their stomach if they eat before working out (like me)

Some people work out better if they eat about an hour beforehand.

Do what works best for you.

I eat my dinner first, then wait about an hour before doing it.

Carb up before you work out.
Get 30 grams of protein no more than a 1/2 hour after you work out.

Per a post on JM's own website (Q&A), you should eat something before your workout even if it is just a piece of fruit. Here is the link

I don't always eat before I work out - if I work out first thing in the morning, I am not likely to have eaten anything. If I work out later in the day, I find that I have to wait 2 - 3 hours after I eat to not feel sluggish and not feel sick.

When I workout on an empty stomach I find that I do not have the energy to complete a tough workout. I would suggest at least eating something small like a banana to give you some energy.

I normally wait a couple of hours after a meal, however, it has to be on an empty bladder... jumping jacks, pah!

I could never do Banish Fat... on an empty stomach. I always do her workouts in the evening or even right before bed. Her workouts take a lot of energy. if you don't want to do it early and not eat a full meal first, do a protein shake at least.

I would base this decision on personal preference/performance.

That's kind of individual. I can do hard-core workouts on an empty stomach no problem, but some people need to eat something first.

    Don't over think it.
Do what works best for you, it may take you a few times to figure it out.

for me it depends on the intensity. if its cardio (running or plyo) i can work out just fine on an empty stomach. strength training no. i am not sure what all these videos entail - i say try them one way & see how your body reacts then adjust if needs be. !

I just read this big article recently that working out on an empty stomach burns calories from muscle, not fat. So it's best to have something in the last hour or so before a workout
