This is an interesting article about recent research having to do with gut flora (the 1000's of bacteria populating our gut) and how skinny people and fat people have different flora. Which could explain why some people have a harder time loosing weight than others. It might come down to messed up gut flora.

and this link explains how sometimes a poop transplant is used to fix gut flora problems . . . Yuck, but hey, I guess it works . .

Anyway, I thought it was interesting . . and maybe someday, you'll see poop pills as weight loss supplements, and they may actually work . . . who knew?

The "poop transplant" was introduced into medical practice 1000+ years ago in China. The patient, suffering from severe digestive disorders, was given 'yellow soup' to eat. What was 'yellow soup?', you ask. The donor was a slim healthy person with no digestive disorders.

We were just learning about this (I'm studying nursing) the other day!! I don't know what the weight loss benefits are though. However if you have had your digestive system messed around from certain drugs it can be wonderful
