1. What will you be this year for Halloween?

2. Show me your best costumes! I LOVE dressing up and am always looking for ideas. Which years did you really go all out? Post your pictures.

I'm not a huge fan of putting on something sexy and strapping bunny ears to my head. I like real costumes.

I'm having a hard time deciding too! Now that I have lost a little weight, I think I might be able to pull of some of the sexier costumes... I think lol. I still kinda see the fat girl in the mirror no matter how much I lose, but I'm trying this new thing called loving myself no matter what size I am :-/ WHAT SHOULD I BE???

Last year, I was visiting my friend in Seattle and I left on Halloween, so I spent 8 hours of that day in an airplane, but we dressed up the night before in quick/lazy costumes that I had made for us.


We were characters from HAIR (although, for non-theatre folks, we were just regular old hippies.) My friend (L) was Claude, I was Berger, and my other friend (R) was Sheila!

The year before, I was The Little Mermaid. I can't seem to find any good pictures of that costume though, which is a shame because I was pretty proud of it. These will have to do, though.




The year before that, my best friend and I were Elphaba and Galinda from Wicked. I had just started sewing, so the dresses were terrible, and the makeup was rushed, so it was also terrible, and if I could re-do these costumes now, I could make them look sooo much better.




This year, I'm dressing as Sharon Needles.

my weight is all over the place in these pics, haha... but i'll share anyway. i'm kind of lazy day to day and don't generally do anything with my makeup and hair. i'm a jeans and tee shirt girl too, so when costume parties roll around i like to go all out and transform myself.

i already posted this in another thread, but i did a dia de los muertos themed costume this year.





the skirt and corset were recycled from a costume i made several years ago where i dressed as some kind of raven queen thing

the rocky horror costume reminded me of a rocky horror themed party that i went to where i was dressed as columbia
