Has anyone...

Gotten close or to all of your "daily nutrient goal?"
(Potassium, protein, etc)
I'm always behind/over something, what does an ideal breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack combo look like to acheive it for you?

Hahahaha.. I'm always over on protein and carbohydrates - but potassium is excellent and sodium is a bit over - all I can tell you is that if I keep my starchy carbs in check, and get enough fiber, the numbers keep going down.

I have never gone, over and i don't often see anyone that does. I will even log things before I even cook it to make sure I don't go over. I just eat healthy, nutritious foods.

  • To be honest, you're never going to be exact on all of them. One or two occasionally, but as long as you're not horrendously under/over on any of them, then you're generally okay. :) High protein is good for you as well, especially if you're working out 'cause it helps maintain and repair muscles and gives you extra energy, so no worries. Just watch your fat, sodium and carbohydrates (though lots of the right carbs are good for you too, mind you!) and you should be alright. :)

    Seriously?

Okay, not on calories, but I often go a little over on fat or protein. I usually look back at what I had and if the extra fat is coming from things like avocados, I assume it's OK. If a little extra sugar is coming from the fruit I ate, I assume that's OK. If I have extra carbs from eating a ton of broccoli, I assume that is OK too.

I'm pretty sure it is NEVER going to be perfect in every category.
