Dieting while in school

Hello everyone!
So over the summer I lost almost 20 lbs and with watching my calories and REALLY increasing the amount of cardio and strength exercises. I did a lot of hiking along with a lot of site-seeing just getting to gym. Well I am back in nursing school right now and as any nurse will tell you, it's like boot camp for my brain. It's also not summer anymore so it's been a little tougher to go on hikes when its rainy and cold. Now 'Ive been trying to get to the gym at least 3 times a week but lately its been two and last week it's was on one! It's not that I haven't wanted to go (trust me, I've wanted to get up off my a** and get the blood flowing) but I have had much homework, clinical work, paper, and a plethora of studying to (I am at 18.5 credit hours). I have a planner and time everything by the hour in my iPhone but with all my nursing course load and my grades (because I am trying to get into the DNP program) always trump extra days in the gym. Again, I KNOW that its about time management and I AM SERIOUS about losing weight but I am just looking for some help because I put on a few pounds from the lack of exercise plus I find myself to be eating more carbs during stress. You guys and gals always have awesome tips so I thank you for any help whatsoever!!

xo

Could you always try to have some low calorie/carb option snacks on you to help with eating the extra carbs? Soup in a thermos might be nice because it will fill you up and it's a comfort food. Sliced apples and carrots in a snack bag with some lemon juice on it is really nice :) Also not too difficult to prepare!

Also - I often don't have time to go to the gym either, but I have a wii and I bought the Just Dance series and even just doing 20 minutes is good :) Plus, you save time by not having to actually get dressed & GO to the gym and then come home again.
