Hiya! I have been looking at this program and hearing wonderful things about it for years, and I think it might be about time to give it a go. I am planning my first week to start this coming Monday, January 18th. Anyone else interested?

Hi there! I did a similar program last year with excellent results! I have a blog all about it...what worked, what didn't, my ups and downs. I haven't been running this winter because I live in Michigan but I'm going to start back up at the first sign of thawing! I'd love to follow along with you guys though.0

I just started yesterday! I'm planning a half marathon in June and figured I would do this program first and then move on from there.0

I am on Week 1 Day 2 today - actually going to do my "workout" right now....I'm in!
Wondering -- I have a treadmill at home which I will do my workouts on at home, the gym has much better treadmills and when spring comes (Im in New England) I will attempt outdoor running....but my question is without a heart rate monitor - or with my older at home treadmill - how do I figure calories burned for my daily log? Any suggestions?
thanks!0 -
Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know that there was a thread started at the beginning of the year for people starting C25K. Feel free to join in.

ractayjon, there were some people on the thread discussing how they were going to log this w/o HRM. Might help you out.0 -

Since you're on a treadmill and can see what pace you are running at I would just log the pace and let MFP do the calcs. For example last night I walked at a pace of 4.0 mph during the walking which added up to a total of 17 minutes and then I ran at 5.5 mph for a total of 8 minutes. I entered the information that way. I actually think what MFP came up with as calorie burn was a little low but I'd rather be on the low side than the high. Hope that helps!0 -

If you have any specific questions about what I did, etc. Feel free to message me. Running is hard work but it's so rewarding!0 -

I have a watch with a chest band that tracks my heart rate and calories burned based on my height and weight. I believe we picked it up at Sports Authority. I am sure you could get one at any sporting store.0
