Hello Fitness Pals,
Hope you all had a great week. This is the end of my first week. Despite a bit of a rocky start I had a very successful one. I was determined not to get on the scale because whenever I've fixated on the scale in the past it's always been counterproductive, but I was feeling so much lighter by mid week that I couldn't resist. I lost 4 lbs. Much of it is water I'm sure but at least the scale is moving in the right direction. This is a dangerous weekend for a food addict but I've mentally prepared myself to exercise some restraint. I'm visiting friends and family this weekend but I know my food diary will keep me on track, what a tremendous tool. My goal for next week is to gradually increase my activity level until it can actually be called "exercise". Wishing you all a healthy weekend.

Well done! Who cares if it is just water weight, the fact that you feel better for it shows that it's a very posative step in the right direction! Keep it up!

A powerful week of positive results for sure! Great to see you are going to ease into exercise. When people would tell me that exercise is addictive, I never really believed them. I do now. When I got serious and made my goal to get fit last February, I couldn't run to the bathroom, let alone any distance. 8 months later and I now am frustrated when I can't exercise!!! I have exercised more in the last 6 months than I have collectively in the last 20 years. I'm not sure when I got over that hump of I dread exercise to where I crave it, but it happened and it can for you too! Good luck on reaching your goals! You can do it!
  • Woo Hoo! I lost 4 pounds this week too!! Keep it going!

LOL, to "running to the bathroom". Just the thought of running makes my knees hurt. Thanks for the inspiration dirtystacks. To think that it's possible to go from couch potato to exercise addict in 8 months boggles my mind. Thanks for the support Amo and leefrye.
