Favourite healthy foods?

What foods are always part of your grocery list? What foods have you found that are the most nutritionally dense?

Have found myself lately not really wanting to eat... as though I am tired of eating... which is NOT like me in the slightest!! :laugh: :laugh:

Looking for some different foods to incorporate into my grocery list!

  • Avocado-could eat it anytime, by itself, or in a salad, on a sandwich.
    Sabra garlic hummus is so creamy and tasty!
    Handful of almonds.
    Seafood.
    Peanut butter on celery w/ raisins.

    jicima - it's a crunchy root that is WONDERFUL on salads!

    Granny smith apples! I love them... always on my list!
  • fresh fruit - grab whatever is in season it is always changing and hard to get bored
    Almonds
    I just switched out my peanut butter for nutella cause I was bored
    Add a frozen veggie medley to a rice or any other dish for any easy change and fewer calories per serving.
  • Hummus! The whole family is addicted to it. We dip carrots or pita chips in it, and we make hummus and cucumber sandwiches (yum!)

    Stir-frys are popular in our house too. A bag of frozen veggies cooked up in a stir-fry sauce and tossed over some rice is so easy!

    Homemade chili can be a healthy option if you make it with healthy ingredients.

    Cantelope
    Chobani blueberry yogurt
    Quinoa/Amaranth/Teff/Millet (my four fave grains)

    These are on my list everyweek.
