Sodium Intake - Need Help!

Hey all,

So what is the normal/healthy range of sodium intake? I have been tracking my sodium intake (please feel free to look at my diary) for the past few days, and it is usually less than 2500 which is what the diary targets for you as a goal. I usually have less than that. Like around 1999 the most!

Yet my weight still goes up and down alot (by a few pounds) within a week. Am I still eating alot of sodium?

Would love you feed back

Weight fluctuates for a variety of reasons. If you eat more one day, or less.. Your bowel movements can have an impact. I keep my sodium at 2000 or under. But you have to make sure you're drinking plenty of water. Not sure if you're just neglecting to log it, but I saw 4 or less cups a day. I generally drink 9+ cups a day.

The American Heart Association recommends you cut your sodium to less than 1500 mg's a day. 2500 mg's is a good goal and is managable. To put it in perspective 2300 mg's of sodium is equal to 1 tsp of salt.
