Just go to a site like this: http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html
Put in your data, and look at the number. That's your TDEE. Subtract about 500.
How does THAT number compare to what you're taking in at the end of a typical day, with typical exercise?
My TDEE is 2292 for heavy exercise and 2524 for daily exercise. I honestly don't know where I fit in. I normally go to the gym 5 days a week taking Wednesday and Saturday off. but I spend about 7 hours total there on normal weeks. Maybe I just pushed the envelope this week. I think the answer is I just need to up my calories.0 -
When in doubt, average them together0

No do not eat your exercise calories it will ruin the point you are exercising also I recommend eating more fiber. Trust me it will help.
I think you need to repeat the MFP 101 class.
I dont need any of that I've been losing 10 pounds a month not losing any muscle because I'm stacked on protein and never starving because I go over fiber mostly everyday I'm just putting in what I have done so far to help that might can help him.
you are an 18 YO male and the OP is a 35 year old woman. not saying you cant give advice, but dude you can live on hope and a donut a day and not lose muscle mass. things are a little different for women.
anyway, OP my vote is to increase your calorie intake.0 -
Drink at least 10 glasses of water a day and eat lots of fresh fruit and veggies.0

I probably drink more than that. I drink 44 oz in the morning when I work out alone and I have a 16oz glass of green tea first thing every morning. I eat about 6 servings of veggies a day. My big focus is protein. I eat lots of greek yogurt and dairy and eggs.0 -

He's also dreaming if he thinks he lost 10 lbs in 30 days and none of it, not one single ounce was lean muscle mass.0
