Feeling really good today!

woke up this morning, and i feel good.
it all started last night. i was really organised and made three batches of different vegetable soups, weighed them, portioned them out and froze them. i had a bowl of the curried pea soup, and despite worrying that it was going to be crap, i really liked it and the massive serve was only 220cal. win! then, because it was so low-cal, i had space in my diet for a little treat, so off i went to the shops to search out something nice. i came home with weight watchers chocolate icecream, and it was so delicious i had to put half of the cup back into the freezer so i could appreciate it anew a few hours later!
the scales have been holding out this week, teasing me as i try to drop from 72.0 to the 71s, but today i just felt like i'd be there. sure enough, i was 71.8 when i first got up. went back to bed for a little lie down, quite pleased with myself and thinking 'now i've got to get to 70.something. when i got back up just now and headed for the shower, i automatically hopped on the scale again.. 71.4! even better!!
after my shower i pulled on my track pants (it is sunday, after all), and remembered how when i bought them in august they were just the tiniest bit too small, just the littlest bit stretched across the hips. today i stood in front of the mirror in them and wondered how the next size down would look.
i checked out my belly, which is usually a bit saggy and roundy, but today there's no bloat, and it's sitting there, still soft and squishy, but FLAT!!
I headed out to have my breakfast and even that was great! i've been auditioning a new brand of yoghurt, chobani, and it's really good! (everyone else has probably been eating it for years, but it's only recently turned up on my supermarket shelves). Ususally i'm a bit 'meh, i'll eat it but it's not that great' about diet dairy - i'm a big fan of full-fat milk and yoghurt - but this stuff is so good i don't think i'd know it was fat free if i didn't read the label. i tried the strawberry one today, and it was very tasty, even though i don't usually like strawberry yoghurt that much.
so.. i'm having a good day.
i hope everyone else is too!

Sounds like you have a great plan with pre-making your soups. I would absolutely love your recipes. I had to laugh too because I got on the scale at 3 this morning when my dog had to get up, and then when I got up for real at 7 I got on again and sure enough I had dropped just a little bit. Its so interesting to me to see that difference. Congrats on the FLAT tummy! And oh yeah I've heard Chobani is delish.0

i posted about my soup success here couponsaver79,

and the links to the recipes for curried pea soup and pumpkin and chickpea soup are there too, as well as a bit of a review of them. the other one i made was roasted kumara, capsicum and lentil, which is an old recipe of mine. if you'd like the recipe, post on the soup thread and i'll type it up for you
in terms of hopping onto the scales whenever i pass them, i'm so guilty of it! some mornings i get up, weigh myself, go to the bathroom, weigh myself, get undressed for the shower, weigh myself, and then weigh myself again after the shower, just in case i washed off a few more grams. I know it's silly, i know weighing yourself that often doesn't really represent overall success, but i just love seeing those little numbers!0 -
to top off my very feel-good day, i just had a really yummy dinner!
a veggie sausage, fake bacon and tomato pastry-less quiche with some steamed zucchini and asparagus, and i'm going to top it off with weight watchers icecream.0
