Ok, I bought a bag of kidney beans instead of the can. Do I have to soak them first?
Also, can I just use a regular recipe and leave out the meat?
Yes, you really should. This helps explain why.

Thanks! My hubby has Crohn's and he can't eat chili. But I love to eat it once in a while in the winter. I was thinking that I might make a batch just for lunches and bought dry beans and chili powder at the store. I haven't made it in so long!
That's a great link! I was just thinking that a vegetarian chili would be good for lunches instead of using up our "dinner meats" for it.0 -
