I have read a lot of people using the JM 30 day shred DVD -- a few questions about it
1. what are the requirements for weights - Im assuming it is a cardio/strength training workout
2. do you do it everyday? I thought that you are supposed to rest your muscles before exercising them again...
3. would you recommend this as an at home workout

I think the weights are up to 5lbs(i use 3lbs), but take it at your own stregnth..
I don't do it everyday, cause I don't have time, But You should do it every day, and if you don't ,just keep track of what # day it is, and complete the 30 days, I have yet to complete it, But I do try...

    1. For me, I start out low until I know I can handle a little more. I use around 5 lbs hand weights.
    2. I do it 2 - 3 days a week depending on my schedule. I heard the same thing on resting muscles too . .
    3. I would recommend it. It's not boring. It's combo moves. And I really like Jillian and her attitude. She's real.

You use hand weights. Start a 3lb or 5lb weights. You do a lot of repetitions - so you don't need really heavy weights. JM has designed it to be done everyday. But you could take a once a week rest day. I really enjoyed JM's 30 Day Shred as a workout at home. It is quick, challenging, and definitely doable in your own home. All you need is an yoga mat (if on hard ground, if you have carpet - you'll be okay without it) and a set of hand weights.

I've been doing the 30 day shred for about 5 days now, just wondering if anyone has lost a significant amount of weight using the dvd???

I'm not actually thinking I'm going to lose the 20 pounds that it states you could possibly lose on the box, but just wondering if anyone has lost 5-10 pounds with it???

I LOVE this DVD. I've talked 6 other people into trying it. It's a work out! I started with no weights for the first time, moved to soup cans for the second then found out my sister had 1# weights I could have. I got 3# weights for Christmas and the work out just got better with that. I would like to go get 5# weights and use those.
I don't do it ever day, I have one rest day. I love that it's 20 minutes because I can always find 20 minutes to do it. I take 1 rest day.
I lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks when I went from level 1 to level 2. There is a huge difference between the two. I did level 1 until I felt really comfortable with it then moved to level 2. I started in November and I still haven't moved to level 3 yet. I have a really hard time holding myself up for the plank moves.
I hope you like it, it is a great workout, I feel strong when I do it.

This DVD sounds fab. I have read a few posts about it and would really like to give it a go. I think I'll need to wait until pay day but I will definately invest in this one. I love workout DVD's that you feel as though you have worked by the end.
