I need a new workout routine...

I don't belong to a gym and I workout at home. I have been doing various routines but I am not getting the results I want. What I don't want is a routine that takes me an hour to complete. I did New Rules and while good, was too time consuming for me. I'd like a workout that focuses on lifting heavy but isn't time consuming. Does this even exist?
Thanks!
Thanks!

not getting results is probably more down to diet than your choice of routine.
How long do you want to workout for and what equipment have you got?0 -
I downloaded the 'Insanity' workout online for free...(shhhhhh)....and I like them. Some of them are 30 min, some up to an hour, and you can combine them. You sure get a heck of a workout in a short amount of time. I was exhausted after each one. And I did notice changes in my appearance quickly, even though the pounds didn't drop too fast. I like to think I was replacing fat with muscle. : )
It's worth a try!0 -
Turbofire HIIT! Fast, tough, results! Its the only workout that after a year, I still am not sick of. Of course I incorporate much more into workout now. However, i still do at least one of Chalene's turbofire's hiit rountines a few times a week.0

Also with tirbofire, you can choose a 15, 20, 25, or 30 min routine.0

Have you tried Zumba, or Get up and Dance?0

Hi. Here is a program that includes few lifts each WO and I bet the WOs will be a lot less than an hour.

Anything comprised of heavy compound lifts will fit. Break 6 heavy compounds that hit most of the body into 2 workouts, A and B. Perform them 2 to 4 times a week on non-consecutive days. Example:
Workout A - 3X5
Squat, overhead press, barbell row
Workout B - 3X5
Deadlift, benchpress, dips
Focus on heavy sets and add weight whenever you can. At 9 sets per workout, these should not take long.0 -
Thanks for the suggestions!0

starting strength and stronglifts are pretty quick... it's just 3 lifts each workout. I do stronglifts but 3 sets of 5 instead of 5... it takes me a little over half an hour and that's with me kind of lollygagging and taking long rests in between. if you are not getting results it might be due to your diet and not workout routine. Just something to think about. Are you eating enough or are you eating too much? Getting enough protein?0
