No.
Because I know, even if it was a planned cheat day, that I will feel guilty afterwards.
No food is worth the guilt for me.0 -
No I dont, but I dont beat myself up if I have an off day ever.0

I don't, because for me this has to be how I'm going to eat for life, not a temporary diet that will stop when I get to my goal weight. That means eating whatever I like, whenever I like, as long as it fits into my calories for the day. I eat healthier overall, and definitely have more fruits and vegetables than I used to, but for the most part I eat like I always did, just in smaller portions.0

Yes. Today I had a full croisant with fruit and yogurt for Breakfast. I normally would have a mini(or 1/2 ) a croisant. I may still have a coffee (mocha w/out whipped cream) at a coffee shop later. I have found that my "favorites" list of food has narrowed throughout my life. I pick splurges based on what I really like only, not on mindless eating.
I recommend that if you splurge, then enjoy every bite with a fork, or on a plate....etc. Make your splurge special! And you may find you do not need as big a portion as you thought!0 -
I don't when I'm trying to stay focused and loose weight. If I'm OK with maintenance then I have a cheat meal, never a whole day. I know me and I would go hog wild and think it meant all bets were off then I'd gain a ton in a day. I also think it is so much harder to stay focused when I have a cheat day. That next day is a killer and seems like I just focus so much on food that it is not worth it in the end.
Now, I know people who have will of steel and a day is nothing to them and they get right back on the healthy eating train no problem. So, what I would say to you is, figure out what type of eater you are then decide if you can handle a cheat day or not.0 -
I let Sunday be my fun day! I still count calories, and keep it under a certain level.... but it is much much higher than any other day of the week. So, this is the day I can have ice cream or brownies, or what ever I want.... as long as I keep it with-in reason. This is really nice, because then I can keep my "cheating" to a minimum the rest of the week. It is nice to have a game plan, and to have something nice to look forward to.0

My cheat day every other Friday. I only cheat after lunch. Everything before is healthy.
When I cheat I still enter what I eat in the app and I try to stay under 2200 cal and 50 grams of fat.:drinker:

I have 2 cheat days which are my days off work where I like to relax and not having to think about calories and intakes. Yesterday had 2 donuts and about 5 chinese dumplings - not your usual small one but large fist size ones...... This week is a new week so will keep it under 1200 calories everyday0

I don't call them cheat days, but on Sundays I have a roast and another meal in the evening - I tend to eat a little over my normal cals but I never eat above maintenance. Occasionally I will have a "cheat" snack like a chocolate pot or something but only if it fits into my calorie limits.
This is what I have found works best for me. I found that full on cheat days would turn into cheat weeks and cheat months and before I knew it I had regained every single pound and then some. So now I try not to deprive myself of things that I really want, but I make sure I work for it. (e.g. if I want a Krispy Kreme donut & nothing else fixes the craving, then I will work out and try to burn the amount of cals in a donut so that I can have it - usually by the end of the work out I don't want it anymore anyway.
Just try different things and see what works for you0
