What not to do: a hangover tale
So I knew I'd be going out to dinner on Friday night, followed by a house party, and spent the day eating accordingly. I was at about 300 cals going into dinner, ate moderately at a Chinese place, and had 5 beers at the party. The next day I felt like hell. It's been weeks since I had more than one drink in a sitting, weeks since I ate anything as salty as Chinese- oh, and I had two cigarettes (don't worry, that's not happening again any time soon). Once I'm off the wagon, I'm really off the wagon.
Usually, after a night like that, I'd have a big greasy breakfast, but I was anxious to get back on track so all I had was toast. Horrible idea. I spent the whole rest of the day feeling terrible, didn't do my cooking for the week, didn't work out, and didn't eat. Well, I had some grapes but they didn't, er, stay with me, so to speak. I'm one who feels that eating too little is about as bad as eating too much, so the day was just bad bad bad.
To those who would say 'just don't get drunk' I would say- glass houses, we all have our weaknesses. But to those like me who like to indulge now and again- I implore you, have a bacon sandwich the next morning. Everything will work out better in the long run. And remember that your new metabolism can't handle booze like your old one.

I usually pop 2 ibuprophin, a few galasses of water, try to keep myself hydraded and stay away from greasey/spicy foods
