My hubby has had great results with Insanity and he has moved on to P90X. Looking at how great his results are, he has convinced me to try something. BUT I'm just not up to doing either of those 2 so he suggested one of Chalene's programs. He thinks ChaLEAN Extreme would be great, but I'm not convinced I can do it. LOL I'm very out of shape. Just started exercising 2 weeks ago with Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds. I can do those with just a little effort so I've decided I need more. I am willing to put effort into it and really work. I'm not afraid of a challenge, but I am not very coordinated.

Suggestions, thoughts, opinions...
Thanks

I agree with your hubby that you should do Chalean Extreme. Beginners follow Laylee (that's what I do). She uses light weights and keeps everything low impact. The Intervals workout is REALLY difficult for me so I just do my Leslie Sansone walks (usually at least 3 miles) on that day. I think even beginners will do fine on Chalean (except for the cardio workouts which are KILLER).

You can do Chalean. I just finished month 1 =) You can adjust it to your level pretty easy and just keep working up =)

    Chalean Extreme is awesome !!!

    I love her energy .......

You should most def do it, it is very doable ...... you get stronger and leaner , and you will love it. I went to walmart and bought weights, I did the first two months, and had stop due to health reasons a couple months back, I am now starting back Tomorrow!!

Turbo Jam by Chalene is better to start off with. I'm arthritic and thats the one I do, following the two girls who do low impact. There are 4 on there - the instructions, ab jam, 20 minute workout and turbo sculpt. she was much easier on this before she made the blockbuster workout she has now, but its no joke either, you are very much challenged on turbo jam

I would suggest it too. You can really do any of them and just modify the moves. I also love ChaLEAN Extreme I really didn't care for the phases because I didn't have the proper weights so I did a lot of the cardio workouts instead of the phases. I wouldn't worry about being not coordinated. As time goes on you'll learn all the moves. Turbo Jam seems very fun and effective. I do Turbofire so it's a great fit for me. Good luck to you!

I just started the Turbo Fire program - just finished Week 2. I will be honest and say I didn't research her other programs, or see which one I should start with, but rather went off the recommendation of a friend. The work outs aren't a walk in the park, but I love them! I've never done a DVD that I liked as much as Turbo Fire. Good luck with whatever you choose!

ChaLEAN Extreme doesn't require a certain level of fitness to begin. Anyone can jump right in. It's heavy lifting between 8-12 reps to failure. I loved the program. I'm currently doing CLX and TF as a hybrid.

OP..... Don't get scared by the "heavy lifting" thing though. That just means heavy FOR YOU. You aren't expected to lift 20 lbs dumbells over your head right off the bat. You work up to even heavier weights at the program goes on. I mostly use 3 lbs for warm up, 5 & 8 for arms/shoulders and 10 for lower body.
