Does anyone have recipes that are really low in sodium? Would like main dishes and some sides. Thanks!

What sort of food do you like to eat? I have very low sodium meals by (obviously) not adding salt to veggies, rice pasta or meat while cooking, I use half the amount of stock suggested and don't use dressings. It took a while to get used to but food tastes so much nicer now!
I eat lots of salad and veggies and protein, bread products and cheese are my worst offenders!

Try substituting rice or quinoa or couscous for pasta, and have a salad with a squeeze of lemon and grilled salmon with philadelphia topping. Really easy to do, mix garlic and herds into philadelphia, spread on fish, grill til cooked. Put on plate with salad and wild rice/quinoq/couscous and eat!

Lots of label reading and then do your own. There are now low sodium spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, beans, etc. Just read the labels and don't always trust "reduced sodium" as it can still be 300 or better, it's just better than the 700 it usually is. Pick your battles carefully, don't give up the things you love but if you know it's going to be a sodium heavy dinner go light early in the day. I have been on under 1500 for over a year and have found it means a lot of eating fresh mostly. There are sodium free seasonings and condiments out there now, again though it takes a lot of label reading. If you have a trader joe's they have tuna that is no salt added and way cheaper than the name brand low sodium, also they have a chili pepper sauce that I love that is very low sodium. Mrs Dash is your friend if you can find a store that carries it. The spicy teriyaki is a godsend if you like stir fry and the garlic one is great on veggies, chicken and fish.

Feel free to look at my diary, it's public and I don't know if it will give you any useful ideas but that's how I get it done.
