You all should read this! Even if you feel like you are disgusting, at least you are doing something about it. DOCUMENT IT! If not for yourself, for your children. :)

I agree, if anything find a few angles that are flattering. Just not the same one every time! There are also several composition s that show a lot less of your body. Like a kid on your lap

That made me cry! You know you're a mum when you get all sentimental over things like that.

I hate all my photos of when my daughter was a small baby as I was so huge, but i'm glad I have the photos and will be able to show her one day, and she'll see how much I loved her.

That made me tear up :( I'm the same way. I'm usually the one taking the pictures of the kids so I don't get IN many of 'em with them. And, it's true of my mom too. Other than the professional portraits, I can think of ONE candid with me and my mom from when I was little.

    Thanks for sharing.

This one hit me where it counts! Of all of the pictures I have taken over the last 18 months, I am in probably only a handful of them. It's horrible that I won't have any photos of myself to look back on in the future and more importantly, for my children to look at. This article was definitely an eye opener for me and a needed reminder that I need to just get in front of the camera sometimes instead of hiding.

    Thanks for the post!

Beautiful article, thank you! Hits close to home for me too, as I've avoided cameras for the last 2+ years (and have been chided by my husband for it)
  • Yeah I am bad about this too. I am in a ton of our sons pic's, because my wife takes them all the time, I hardly ever pic up the camera and take pictures with her in them, I will work on that :-)
