Hi Everyone,

I make massive pots of food at teh weekends so that dinners are quicker and easier in the evenings. I weigthed all the ingredients and calculated the individual calories for each ingredient.

My question: if i add all the calories together and say i get 1000 calories for the big pot of food i make e.g. 2000g, and then i weigh out a portion which equals 200g does that mean my 200g portion equals: 100 calories?

I know this is a very simple example. I would really appreciate your help-i am never sure if am counting calories correctly.

Thanks

In the food section, add all the ingredients into the recipe thing. It'll calculate everything for you, whether you want to make it 2 servings or 10 servings.
  • Also, under "Tools" they have a recipe builder where you can designate how many servings it is and it does all the math for you - total dish AND each serving. Then you can add it to your recipes and have it as a reference if you make the same thing again.
