You need to give it some time. Change happens gradually, especially if you don't have a whole lot to lose.

I'm with you - but we need to practice patience and discipline. Just keep at it and good things will happen.
  • Don't let yourself get discouraged... One week isn't enough time if you want real, life changing results. To be honest, you really should commit yourself to six solid months of using mfp and changing your entire diet and exercise plans. Weight loss is gradual.. Keep in mind, it didn't take one week to gain the weight, so it won't come off quickly and easily either. In order to lose and maintain weight loss, you have to change your entire lifestlye from now on, and commit to it, no matter how discouraged or upset you sometimes may feel. I promise you, you'll find strength within yourself to push through the hard times, if you want to lose the weight bad enough!!! Keep your head up!! You've already made it through 7 days, what's another 30? You've got this!!!

You ask whether you should give it another week. Well, then what? You throw up your hands and quit? Is that going to make you more successful? Is that what's going to make you lose weight? Are you suddenly going to be satisfied with where you are already? Not trying got you to the point where you determined that you wanted to start trying. Quitting again isn't going to make you any happier than it did before.
