I just bought this wrist watch HRM yesterday and I'm not sure about it. It says it counts your calories by using your personal heart rate, age, weight, gender and step count. Is this going to count my calories burned when I am doing the Nautilus machines, elliptical or the bicycle? I haven't opened it yet and wanted to get opinions before I do. Thanks!

I have a MIO HR watch too, and it is very accurate as long as you take your heart rate frequently (when your intensity level changes)
it was the only watch I found that you put your own weight in. I really like it , its a great way to keep track of your calories burned.
the only problem with mine is sometimes the heartrate does not display. Generally if I wait a little bit or switch arms it takes care of it.
    I Hope you like it!

Thanks. I think I'll take it to the gym today and try it out.

Santa brought me a Mio Sport Select for Christmas and I love it so far. I've checked it against the macihines inthe fitness center and its always within a beat or 2 of what they read so I guess its accurate - or all of them are off! The fact that it doesn't have a chest band is even better for wearing it while skiing, I think.

Anyway, I like being able to start it before I start skiing and stop it when I go to get on the lift, lunch, or at the end of the day so I can be sure that the calories burned are just those when I'm skiing.

It also came with a pedometer with built in FM radio that I listen to on my walks, if my wife isn't with me. Otherwise, I'm a dead duck  if I put my ear plugs in to listen to music while she wants to talk.

Thanks for the info. I think mine is the cheaper model, no radio. I wanted to see if the calorie burn is anywhere close so I don't eat back too many exercise calories.
