    Silly newbie, this isn't a post about recipes! Bumps are little raised things you get on your skin that you are afraid to admit to having. But in the forums, it means they are posting something pointless so that the thread goes to the very top and they can find it easier.

    people post a bump when they want to find it again, you dont have to say "bump", you could actually just a put a dot or anything in there. If you go to your profile page and scroll down towards the bottom, there is a box there that says "My Recent Forum Posts", anything you commented on will be listed there, a lot of people will "bump" because they dont have time to reply or read the threads at that time.
